Delivery information


Here at our delivery system for customer orders is simple. Please read the following;

1) National Deliveries

A contracted third party logistics firm, which we work in partnership with, will deliver your order direct to the room of your choice. Some manufacturers will deliver directly to you door via there own Direct Home Delivery Service. You may be informed of this at the time of order.

If any assembly is required, please request at point of order. This can be done at £50 per hour (£25 per man hour). Most tables can be assembled by two men in approximately 30 minutes.

We do not deliver any orders outside of mainland UK.

2) Delivery Vehicles

Customers should assume that the delivery vehicle will be a long, heavy goods vehicle, weighing approximately 16.5 tonnes with a height of 14' 3". Therefore it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that such a vehicle has legal access to their property and inform us about any weight, height and parking restrictions, as well as any difficult access points and unadopted roads/ paths in order to help us deliver your order and ensure that we have made arrangements for the appropriate size of delivery vehicle to be used.

Failure to disclose this information may result in an aborted delivery and a delivery charge being levied.

In order to prevent damage to our /contracted vehicles, unadopted roads, paths and tracks will not be taken by delivery vehicles. Alternative routes must be provided by the customer.

3) Delivery Charges

All orders over £500 supplied by are delivered free of charge. Deliveries under this will be charged at a rate of £50 on top of any surcharge for certain postcode areas, detailed below. However, aborted or failed deliveries will be charged a minimum of £25. Please see section 7 of our terms and conditions. Shakers The Funiture Store reserves the right to amend the delivery charges at any time.

4) Informing you about Anticipated Delivery Timescale.

Anticipated manufacturers delivery times are visible on each and every product page on the website. These times can be used as an indicator for how long it will take Shakers The Funiture Store to receive the product(s), if we do not have such items in stock, and deliver it/them to your door.

Upon receipt of your order, Shakers The Funiture Store will send you an order confirmation, via e-mail.

Where items ordered are stock items, Shakers The Funiture Store will endeavour to deliver the item to you within 7 - 21 days.

If we need to order direct from the manufacturer as we do not have the item in stock, the average lead time is 2 - 8 weeks, depending upon the nature of the item ordered and the manufacturer.

We will keep customers informed if there is any delay on the anticipated delivery time of goods that has previously been included within the product page on the website.

5) Tracking Your Delivery

It may be possible to track your order. Please e-mail giving details of your order number and Shakers The Funiture Store will be able to inform you of the status of your order.

Please note that Shakers The Funiture Store will only contact you with regards to delivery if;

The product(s) has arrived into our warehouse / logistics company and is ready for delivery.

The product delivery time is delayed longer than that originally stated.

6) Confirming the Delivery Date

Once your item(s) is ready for despatch either we will contact you or our contracted delivery service will contact you in order to arrange a mutually suitable delivery date.

7) Available Days for Delivery

Available days for delivery are Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8.00am - 5.30pm. Some items may be available for a Saturday delivery at an extra surcharge. This surcharge will reflect the exact cost of the delivery. Please email with details of your selected item(s) and a representative of Shakers The Funiture Store will be able to inform you whether your item(s) can be despatched for a Saturday delivery.

8) Delivery Lead Times

The delivery lead times shown on every product are estimated delivery lead times given to us by our manufacturers. Please note these times are only a guide and may very slightly depending on the time of the year and where in the world they are manufactured.
